Devoted to General Linguistics the journal publishes articles in and bearing on all languages, but it intends to emphasize particularly the study of French. Its main aim is to function as a focal point for new theoretical positions and the use of computational methods to study language. Lingvisticae Investigationes publishes original studies in phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics, as well as bibliographies, theses, reports and reviews. Contributions are in English and French. The same editors established also a special book series around this journal entitled: Lingvisticæ Investigationes Supplementa.
